On Thursday, March 13, 2025, in honor of Women’s History month, The Women’s Event Committee presented their annual panel, this year entitled: “Helping Women Craft Financial Legacies.” The event took place at Glenmede Trust Company. The members of this diverse panel included: Jane Scaccetti of Armanino Advisory, Jillian Kukucka of Glenmede Trust, and Beverly Bernstein Joie, of Solo Wise and Complete Care Strategies. The panel presented 4 case studies that illustrated the complicated scenarios that represent the legal, accounting, financial, and human issues that financial professionals face in their practices when working with women.
This sell-out event, attracting 50 people, was filled with enthusiastic participants. Together, we unpacked the complicated issues that transcend any one profession. Some of the issues discussed were estate planning, issues related to aging, and solo agers and managing divergent values and goals within families. The committee’s post-panel discussion led us to uncover some key points that increased our understanding about the success of the event and the effectiveness of our format. Each panelist provided data that offered a unique prospective of understanding what women want from the professionals they seek and the unique challenges confronting women.
Members of the PEPC as diverse and interdisciplinary as are our clients. Insight into various populations and sub-groups enhances our ability to grow our practices and ourselves. We considered the following questions:
- How do we engage those who represent divergent populations?
- How do we attract those who are divergent?
- What gives us the edge to retain clients inter-generationally?
- What knowledge would benefit us transcending the quest for financial capital?
Future presentations from this committee will provide a broad understanding of diverse subgroups and captivating topics that are certain to generate learning and lively discourse!
Future Topics:
