News from the PEPC NAEPC Engagement Committee

by Tim Zeigler and Kim V. Heyman, PEPC Board Members & NAEPC Engagement Committee Co-Chairs
In addition to the exciting news shared by our President (that PEPC has once again been awarded the Council of Excellence by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (“NAEPC”) - for the second year in a row), we would like to announce that so far this year two of our esteemed members have been accepted for the Accredited Estate Planner® (“AEP®”) designation! We would like to congratulate Michael DeFillipo (and Alan Weissberger’s pending application) on this wonderful achievement! The PEPC is proud to have 40+ current members obtain the designation.
PEPC is a member of NAEPC and as a member of PEPC you are as well. NAEPC serves estate planning councils with goals of excellence in estate planning, education and collaboration. Among your benefits as a member is access to the NAEPC Journal of Estate & Tax Planning that provides regular updates on important information regarding the ever-changing world of estate and tax planning. NAEPC also offers Council of Excellence Awards, professional designations including the AEP® designation, the extensive Robert G. Alexander Webinar Series, LinkedIn social groups, and an outstanding annual conference with national speakers.
The NAEPC is holding a VIRTUAL Estate Planners Forum on October 21, 2026 and the next complimentary webinar will be on Veteran’s Benefits presented by Susan L. Chalgian, JD, on November 11th at 3:00 p.m. EST. To register, go to https://www.naepc.org/.
If you have any questions about NAEPC or the AEP® designation, please feel free to contact Tim Zeigler or Kim V. Heyman, Co-Chair’s of the PEPC NAEPC Engagement Committee. We would love to have any interested AEPs consider joining our committee as well.
